1. Complete an application for a hydraulic study.  Return the application and $275.00 to: Hanson Rural Water 200 3rd St S PO Box 324 Emery SD  57332
2. You will be contacted once HRWS hears back from the engineer (could take up to 6 weeks).
3. If your application is approved, there will be some paperwork for you to sign and membership fee needs to be paid before installation of the new service.

If you notice a leak (standing water) when driving around the countryside, please call Hanson Rural Water 605-449-4422 to report your findings.  As our way to thank you for finding a leak, a leak reward will be mailed to you.

Milky or cloudy colored water occurs when there is air in the line.  If water is shut off for a leak repair milky or cloudy water may be a result when water is turned back on.  It is still safe to use or drink.  Running water to “flush” the air out will help clear the water.  If running water does not help, please call the office to let us know.

When water is heated or cooled it brings out calcium deposits.
